This page covers the website. Customer data inside the product is governed by our data processing agreement, which we will send you on request.
How we measure this website
We count page views ourselves. There is no Google Analytics, no advertising pixel and no third-party script on this site — which is why you were not asked to accept cookies, because there are none to accept.
Each visit gets a random identifier held in your browser’s session storage. It is not linked to you, it is not shared, and it is destroyed when you close the tab. We record which page was viewed, where the link came from, a rough device category (mobile, tablet or desktop) and, if our CDN tells us, the country. That is the entire list.
When you fill in a form
We keep what you typed — your name, email, and whatever else you chose to tell us — so we can reply. We also store which page you submitted from and, if you arrived via a campaign link, which campaign it was.
We use it to answer you. We do not add you to a mailing list because you asked a question, and we do not sell or share it with anyone.
The newsletter
Only if you asked for it. Every email has a one-click unsubscribe that works without signing in, and unsubscribing is immediate. We keep a record that you unsubscribed — that is deliberate, so a stray form submission cannot put you back on the list.
Your rights
Under UK GDPR you can ask what we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it. Email privacy@ontheshift.com and we will action it within 30 days, usually much sooner.
How long we keep it
Page views are aggregated after 12 months and the individual rows deleted. Enquiries are kept for two years unless you ask us to remove them earlier. Newsletter records are kept until you unsubscribe, plus the suppression record after that.
