A plain-English summary of how we work together. Your signed agreement is the contract that governs; this page explains it rather than replaces it.
Billing
You are billed monthly per active member. Deactivating someone stops their charge from that month. Starter and Growth have no minimum term and you can leave with 30 days’ notice. Enterprise agreements are annual.
Suspension
If an invoice goes unpaid we may suspend dashboard access after written notice. Your data is retained in full and returns untouched when the account is reactivated.
Lone-worker safety is excluded from suspension. Check calls and the SOS button continue to work for anyone part-way through a shift. We will not remove a safety alarm from a person to apply pressure to their employer.
Your data
It is yours. You can export all of it at any time, in standard formats, without asking us. If you leave, we delete it 90 days after your final invoice unless you ask us to do it sooner.
Uptime and support
We target 99.9% availability. Support is UK working hours on Starter and Growth, with extended cover on Enterprise. Safety-critical faults are treated as urgent on every plan, including trials.
Acceptable use
On The Shift holds employment records and location data about real people. Do not use it to track staff outside their working hours, and do not use check-in data for anything you have not told your team about. We will suspend accounts that do.
